“Where you look impacts how you feel.”- Dr. David Grand

To say you “cannot” is a manifestation of hyperarousal. There is no wrong way to ‘experience’ brainspotting. Your brain is a powerful place, and once you learn to let it guide you, the possibilities are endless.

A Brainspot is seen as a physiological capsule holding emotional experience in memory form. It is a reflexive process where what is in the brain is in the body, and what is in the body is in the brain.

Have you experienced any of this?

“UNABLE TO PERFORM IN THE WAY YOU KNOW YOU CAN (SPORTS/ACTING)”

Learning how the brain works and where symptoms are held in the brain can help alleviate long-standing blocks. Brainspotting can directly impact performance anxiety or sports trauma, and can be directly related to developmental trauma.

“AN URGENT NEED FOR CERTAINTY IN ALL SITUATIONS.'“

There are so many neural synapses (millions) being fired off in the brain at such a rapid pace that the capability to know everything is not possible, so we lean into uncertainty.

“DIFFERENT THERAPIES NEVER WORK FOR ME.”

Brainspotting is an open, integrative model. It is designed to be adapted into any clinical approach and any therapeutic style.

How It Works

INTAKE SESSION

These are essential to gather relevant information, to establish goals, and to learn the initial direction of the process (which may change at any time).

01

BRAINSPOTTING

Brainspotting can start immediately with little to no prep work. Brainspotting issues can be ANY ISSUE that comes to mind on the day of therapy and is usually interwoven with talk therapy, since it is a technique and not a therapeutic approach. Brainspotting can involve as much talking as you would like, but it can also contain no talking at all to be effective.

02

DOING THE WORK

Therapy is a relationship within itself where all parties involved are expected to do the work to see change happen that aligns with the goals that have been pre-established. These goals may change as therapy progresses.

Hello, Hello!

Let’s get to know each other in a way AI cannot compensate for.

I’m Anna Schubbe, LPC, LMFT, Brainspotting Practitioner

SHE/HER/HERS

I am passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals through practical processing and challenging you to face things you may have never considered in the past or in the present. I am ready to work with you to break through barriers that have led to emotional disconnection, instances of sports injury, performance anxiety, chronic feelings of “loneliness”, heartbreak, and major life decisions that may involve more than just what regular talk therapy can achieve.

I utilize DBT, Brainspotting, ACT, and elements of IFS + CBT to work collaboratively to see that every person who presents for therapy benefits from their investment of time.
